Advance Notice of Roadworks

Junction improvement work at Stocklake is due to start on Monday 13 May and is expected to last for approximately 11 weeks.

During the works, some temporary road closures and diversions will be necessary which will have an impact on local traffic.

Advance road signs will be in place in the lead up to the work starting. There will be traffic light traffic management in place during the work which will be in place 24 hours and include weekends. There will also be two limited periods of overnight road closure planned for Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 July and Monday 8 to Thursday 11 July. Diversion signage will be in place during these overnight road closures.

There will be regular inspection visits so the works will be monitored.

There will be a letter drop to local residents/businesses including those with frontages along the route of the works.

When complete, the right turn from Douglas Road into Stocklake will be operational giving access into a new McDonalds which will be on the site of the former Askeys site.
