Kingsbrook Parish Council exists to serve you

The Parish Council is an independent, local democratic unit and is the most local tier of administration and the first tier of democratic local govenment.

Our Parish Council consists of 5 co-opted Councillors.  There is space for 9 Councillors in total however due to the Covid pandemic elections could not take place in May 2020 and the Couny Council decided on an approach of co-option for the minimum number of Councillors necessary until elections can be held.  It is hoped that these will take place in May 2021.

The Council meets every month, apart from August and Decemeber, and all council meetings are open for the public to attend.  For further information about the agenda, location and issues to be discussed please see the Agenda, Minutes and Notices section.

The council elects the Chairman,  This person always represents the whole council and acts as a spokesperson for the Parish on all public occasions and chairs the monthly meetings.

The Clerk to the Parish Council is the proper office in law, employed by the council, and is also the responsible financial officer.
